So that we can properly promote every brand listed on BrandBucket, we ask every domain owner to redirect their domain to its custom sale page.
www.yourdomain.com should redirect to www.brandbucket.com/yourdomain
There are a few ways to redirect your domain to BrandBucket, including a DNS modification and domain forwarding.
Option 1: Forwarding
If your domain registrar provides forwarding -- sometimes called "Web Forwarding" or "Domain Forwarding" -- this is the easiest and preferred way to redirect your domain to BrandBucket.
The instructions vary by registrar, so please check your registrar's online help. Basically, you will navigate to your domain within your registrar's domain manager, select forwarding, and then enter the following URL in the field that asks where you would like to forward your name to:
http://www.brandbucket.com/[your domain without the .com]
Option 2: Modifying the DNS
If your registrar does not provide forwarding, or if you are comfortable manipulating the DNS records of your domain names, you can choose to redirect your domain to BrandBucket via DNS records.
You can use ONE of the following methods, depending on what your DNS manager allows:
- Modify the A record of your domain to point to www.brandbucket.com.
- Add a "wildcard" CNAME record in the form of *.[your domain] that forwards to www.brandbucket.com.
- Modify the A record of your domain to point to BrandBucket's IP address, 70.32.81.36.
